The development of my country's Beidou navigation industry is entering an acceleration period. The reporter learned from the Municipal Economic and Information Commission yesterday that in recent years, Qingdao has seized the strategic industrial development opportunities of Beidou navigation, strengthened top-level design, issued development plans, built the Beidou Building, an industrial carrier, and created a Beidou navigation full industrial chain system, which has been recognized and supported by relevant national departments and attracted great attention from the domestic industry. At present, Qingdao's Beidou navigation industry has entered a "golden age" of rapid development. 24 projects have been signed, and five major key projects such as the Beidou Huaxin Antenna Regional Base Project with an investment of 150 million yuan and the Aerospace Science and Technology Industry Incubation Base Project with an investment of 300 million yuan are progressing smoothly.
Enter the national planning layout. In December last year, the General Staff Mapping and Navigation Bureau and the municipal government signed the "Strategic Cooperation Agreement on Deepening the Development of Beidou Navigation Industry", and determined that the first branch of the National Beidou Navigation Positioning Service Data Center would be located in Qingdao. The Qingdao Institute of Optoelectronics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences cooperated with the National Time Service Center to successfully introduce the Qingdao Station of the forwarding satellite ground station and the Beidou Ground-Based Augmentation Station National Backbone Network Base Station. In June this year, the municipal government and the General Staff Mapping and Navigation Bureau held a signing ceremony for Beidou navigation industry projects. The 24 projects signed will be settled in the Beidou Building in the High-tech Zone, covering Beidou data center, industrial base, technology research center, expert workstation, software development, terminal R&D, service platform, as well as Beidou full industry chain projects such as people's livelihood care and smart Qingdao industry applications, providing substantial project data and industry application support for the first branch of the National Beidou Navigation Location Service Data Center settled in Qingdao.
Five major projects are progressing smoothly. The first is the Beidou Huaxin Antenna Regional Base Project settled in Qingdao, which was invested by Huaxin Antenna Technology Co., Ltd. with an investment of 150 million yuan and a land area of 53.24 acres. It mainly builds the regional headquarters, R&D center, and marketing logistics center of Huaxin Satellite Navigation Industry Technology R&D and Public Service Platform. The second is the Aerospace Science and Technology Industry Incubation Base Project settled in the core area of Blue Silicon Valley, which was invested by Aerospace Star Company with an investment of 300 million yuan and a land area of 80 acres. It mainly carries out Beidou Navigation Ocean Center, UAV Ocean Application Base, Satellite Application Training Base and other businesses. The third is the China Beidou Internet of Vehicles Industry Alliance Base Project, which is planned to be settled in the core area of Blue Silicon Valley. It is jointly led by the China Automotive Information Service Industry Application Alliance (TIAA) and Zhongdou Technology Co., Ltd., and plans to build a global demonstration-based Beidou navigation system industry alliance base with independent intellectual property rights. The fourth is the Beidou Ship Network Application Demonstration Project, which is planned to be settled in the High-tech Zone. It is built by Beidou Xingtong Information Service Co., Ltd. The main contents include the construction of a localized operation service center, the development and promotion of products such as Ship Easy Pass, and the first application in the fields of fisheries and yachts, promoting the deployment of various terminal equipment and the construction of networks, and deeply developing the information resources collected by ship networking. The fifth is the Beidou-based IP cloud SOC design verification system project settled in the High-tech Zone. It is invested and constructed by Shandong Blue Think Tank Investment Co., Ltd. and participated by the Institute of Microelectronics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The total investment is 70 million yuan, mainly focusing on the research and development and design of Beidou navigation-related software, hardware and platforms.
At present, global navigation systems include China's Beidou, the United States' GPS, the European Union's Galileo, and Russia's GLONASS. The BeiDou Navigation Satellite System is a global satellite navigation system independently built and operated by my country, which is compatible and shared with other satellite navigation systems in the world. In recent years, the country has made the BeiDou navigation industry a strategic industry for key development, and has continuously increased its support. It has successively issued a series of policies including the "National Satellite Navigation Industry Medium- and Long-Term Development Plan" and "Several Opinions on the Promotion and Application of the BeiDou Satellite Navigation System", which have clarified the medium- and long-term development goals. It is expected that by 2020, the innovative development pattern of my country's satellite navigation industry will be basically formed, and the industry scale will exceed 400 billion yuan.
